Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a logistics team to ensure cohesion and collaboration towards common objectives.
- Autonomously manage the logistics team, setting rules, frameworks, and expected results both collectively and individually.
- Communicate necessary company information to ensure the team's smooth operation.
- Address social issues, individual or collective behavioral problems, and seek solutions.
- Oversee administrative management related to the team, including absence management and overtime.
- Conduct individual team member interviews, provide feedback, encourage, and correct as necessary.
- Implement and drive performance at the team level.
- Facilitate shift briefings and plan order scheduling.
- Communicate performance indicators related to productivity, processes, deadlines, stocks, resources, quality, environment, and health and safety.
- Ensure quality and deadline compliance, implementing temporary adjustments if needed to maintain merchandise flow from receipt to dispatch.
- Update various reports and monitor warehouse data.
- Constantly seek efficiency and progress.
- Define daily workload/capacity, estimate and allocate warehouse human resource needs.
- Identify continuous improvement actions in processes, organization, or warehouse operations.
- Ensure product quality, cost, and deadline compliance to satisfy clients.
- Ensure compliance with rules during merchandise receipt and dispatch.
- Promote quality and address non-quality issues within the team.
- Alert quality control when a product does not meet standards and initiate action plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of successful management experience.
- Experience in logistics and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools.
- Familiarity with Infolog software is a plus.
Skills
Experience
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within logistics or warehouse management.
Education
Minimum Bac+2 level (BTS, DUT, etc.) or equivalent experience in logistics.
Workplace
This position is based in Malissard, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France, within easy reach of Lyon.
