Louis Vuitton seeks experienced Legal Counsel for South Asia based in Singapore to provide strategic legal support and compliance management.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic legal support and advice to all Louis Vuitton departments across South Asia, covering finance, operations, information security, client development, and e-commerce
- Draft, negotiate, review, and advise on comprehensive regulatory and commercial agreements spanning general corporate, business collaboration, distribution, events, licensing, non-disclosure, services, logistics, sponsorships, and acquisitions
- Manage leasing documentation including tenancy agreements, variations, renewals, and terminations
- Manage and resolve commercial disputes between Louis Vuitton and third parties
- Liaison with government and regulatory authorities to maintain constructive communications and compliance
- Monitor and report on legislative and regulatory changes impacting business operations across South Asia
- Manage legal compliance projects including product compliance, consumer protection, anti-money laundering, and corporate governance frameworks
- Manage and advise on data privacy compliance, drafting and negotiating data processing agreements and privacy-related contracts
- Conduct privacy risk assessments and coordinate data audits across the region
- Deliver legal and compliance training to internal staff
- Support special projects as assigned by the APAC Legal Director and General Counsel
Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of post-qualification legal experience from reputable law firms or multinational in-house legal teams
- Valid, good-standing legal practitioner qualification in a common law jurisdiction
- Solid general corporate and commercial experience with knowledge of South Asian legal practices
- Extensive experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing legal and regulatory compliance projects, including e-commerce, privacy, and consumer protection
- Prior experience in luxury, retail, or fast-moving consumer goods industries strongly preferred
- Strong commercial awareness and business-oriented legal judgment
Skills
Experience
Minimum 10 years of post-qualification legal experience gained from reputable law firms and/or multinational in-house legal teams, with solid knowledge of South Asian jurisdictions and demonstrated expertise in commercial agreements and regulatory compliance.
Education
Valid, good-standing legal practitioner qualification in a common law jurisdiction.
