Louis Vuitton is hiring a Leather Craftsperson for its ateliers in Barberà del Vallès, Spain, to join production teams in leather goods manufacturing with training in specialized techniques.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare raw materials (leather, canvas, and textiles) to ensure quality standards throughout the industrialization cycle
- Execute production line operations including skiving, splitting, embossing, polishing, thread burning, and the application of metal components
- Assemble finished products using manual and industrial stitching techniques
- Enforce quality standards at each phase of the production process
- Collaborate with production teams to achieve departmental output targets
- Maintain strict compliance with occupational safety protocols and regulations
Qualifications
- Formal technical training in Pattern Making, Cutting, and/or Tailoring (VET qualification preferred)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in high-quality production environments or manufacturing lines, ideally within cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or food production sectors
- Demonstrated interest in product design, material properties, and manufacturing processes
- Appreciation for artisanal craftsmanship with motivation to master specialized high-quality leatherworking techniques
- Availability for afternoon shift work (14:00–22:00) Monday to Friday or rotating shifts (morning 06:00–14:00 / afternoon 14:00–22:00 Monday to Friday)
Skills
Experience
At least 2 years of experience in high-quality production environments or manufacturing lines, preferably in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or food production. Technical background in manual trades or production processes is valued; prior leatherworking experience is not required but a strong commitment to learning specialized artisanal techniques is essential.
Education
Formal technical qualification in Pattern Making, Cutting, and/or Tailoring (VET – Formación Profesional) is preferred. Alternatively, technical training in manual trades or production processes is acceptable.
