Louis Vuitton Paris: Jewelry Group Manager to lead product development, manage project teams, and drive supplier strategy in luxury jewelry.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure achievement of project objectives including specifications, timeline, cost, quality, and due diligence requirements from pre-kick-off to market launch and series production compliance
  • Establish and monitor performance indicators, track milestone progression, and manage project team resource allocation
  • Evaluate, track, and adjust development, prototype, and tooling budgets; implement corrective actions for overruns
  • Secure economic viability and cost-product definition coherence; pilot product evolutions and propose solutions
  • Collaborate with quality and supplier teams on risk analysis; lead risk mitigation plans through production approval; ensure due diligence for social, environmental, geographic, supply chain, and governance risks
  • Guarantee availability and reliability of product information in PLM systems including pricing, nomenclatures, and metal specifications
  • Ensure accurate preparation and communication of technical documentation internally and with external suppliers
  • Serve as internal development leader and primary stakeholder contact for industrial scope matters
  • Lead development meetings and monthly steering committees; facilitate information flow and recommend action plans
  • Participate in supplier strategy development and execution within assigned segment
  • Conduct panel studies, manage supplier consultations on pricing, capacity, and lead times; recommend awards and manage non-awards aligned with industrial strategy
  • Partner with supply chain and production teams to manage supplier capacity, reserve capacity, and plan production schedules
  • Conduct benchmarking and competitive technical surveillance
  • Propose and deploy backup plans, capacity extensions, and dual-sourcing arrangements to ensure production continuity
  • Ensure regulatory compliance during new supplier onboarding; participate in supplier technological and capacity audits
  • Conduct regular supplier facility visits
  • Define resource requirements, recruit, develop, train, and upskill project manager team members; foster team cohesion and embody team spirit
  • Supervise team workload management, escalate resource needs, ensure objective achievement, and guarantee coverage
  • Prepare and conduct annual performance reviews, set objectives, provide feedback (top-down and peer), and facilitate team engagement
  • Unite the team around the direction's vision
  • Intervene in supplier delays and deploy resolution protocols
  • Lead the comprehensive 360° development process and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams
  • Pilot cross-functional projects and system/tool improvements incorporating artificial intelligence
  • Contribute to integration program for new Louis Vuitton acquisitions including ateliers, design offices, and methods departments
  • Monitor technological developments and foster innovation within the jewelry scope
  • Contribute to sustainability roadmap including metal traceability, eco-design, and supplier engagement

Qualifications

  • Formation in mechanical engineering or quality management from a leading institution
  • Minimum 8–10 years' experience in product project management and/or team leadership in similar environments
