Louis Vuitton seeks an Inventory Planning Manager in Tokyo to lead inventory strategy and a team, ensuring stock aligns with forecasts across Japan.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of six, setting priorities, training plans and performance objectives to ensure effective inventory management across Japan.
- Define and implement inventory strategies that align stock levels and locations with sales forecasts, seasonal plans, store network extensions and product launches.
- Control, challenge and optimise supply flows and daily replenishment processes to maintain qualitative and quantitative product availability at retail and digital touchpoints.
- Monitor overall inventory metrics, reconcile targets vs. on-hand stock at each network node and report monthly insights to senior management during SOP reviews.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Retail, Sales Planning, Logistics, warehouse service providers and HQ supply chain teams to support commercial initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement projects and propose evolutions of the supply-chain model, including distribution strategy adjustments to enhance sustainability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; engineering degree or equivalent preferred.
- Business-level fluency in Japanese and English (mandatory).
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics or operations; experience within luxury goods or global companies preferred.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of developing talent and managing cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in data analytics and inventory modelling; demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable decisions.

8–10 years of experience in supply chain, logistics or operations. Prior exposure to luxury retail environments or global matrix organisations is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor's degree required; engineering or equivalent technical degree preferred.
