Louis Vuitton Americas seeks an International Logistics Manager (6-month parental coverage) in New York. Manage global supply chains, vendors, and customs compliance. USD $100,000–$120,000 annually.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee international inbound logistics flows for sellable goods sourced from central distribution centers in the United States and France, ensuring smooth delivery and replenishment to four distribution centers (three in the United States, one in Canada)
- Manage logistics flows for non-sellable goods with origins in Asia, Mexico, and France, monitoring transportation performance, shipment execution, lead times, and delivery reliability
- Act as principal point of contact for two logistics vendors managing the transportation and flow of sellable and non-sellable goods, building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure high service quality
- Coordinate closely with customs brokers to support smooth import processes and timely customs clearance; partner with the customs compliance team to ensure adherence to international import/export regulations
- Define, monitor, and report on key logistics performance indicators including on-time delivery, lead time adherence, freight cost, customs clearance performance, and vendor performance
- Track and manage logistics and transportation costs across all flows, identify variances, and highlight risks or opportunities for cost optimization; review and validate invoices from logistics vendors
- Facilitate seamless communication between internal teams and external partners to align priorities, shipment planning, issue resolution, and compliance requirements
- Support business continuity during the 6-month assignment by stabilizing operations and ensuring consistent logistics performance; contribute to handover documentation and process recommendations
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional experience in logistics, international logistics, or supply chain management
- Proven success in vendor management with demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with experience in Power Query and Power BI highly desirable
- Sophisticated written and verbal communication abilities
- Fluency in French considered a valuable asset
