Louis Vuitton seeks an International Logistics Manager in New York, NY for a 6-month parental coverage role. USD $100,000–$120,000 annually.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee international inbound logistics flows for sellable goods sourced from central distribution centers in the United States and France
  • Ensure smooth delivery and replenishment to four distribution centers across North America
  • Manage logistics flows for non-sellable goods with origins in Asia, Mexico, and France
  • Monitor transportation performance, shipment execution, lead times, and delivery reliability across all flows
  • Identify and resolve operational issues impacting service, cost, inventory availability, or customs clearance
  • Act as primary point of contact for two logistics vendors managing transportation of sellable and non-sellable goods
  • Build and maintain strong day-to-day relationships with vendors to ensure high service quality and responsiveness
  • Coordinate closely with customs brokers to support smooth import processes and timely customs clearance
  • Track vendor and broker performance through KPIs, service reviews, and operational follow-up
  • Challenge vendors and brokers where needed and drive corrective action plans to improve service, compliance, and cost efficiency
  • Partner closely with the customs compliance team to ensure all international shipments are managed in line with applicable import/export regulations
  • Support the accuracy and completeness of shipping and customs documentation in collaboration with vendors, brokers, and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate closely with central teams, supply chain, distribution centers, inventory control, customs compliance, and brokers to ensure seamless execution of logistics activities
  • Facilitate communication between internal and external partners to align priorities, shipment planning, issue resolution, and compliance requirements
  • Support inventory availability by ensuring timely and accurate inbound flows
  • Escalate risks proactively and lead action plans with relevant stakeholders
  • Define, monitor, and report on key logistics performance indicators such as on-time delivery, lead time adherence, freight cost, and vendor performance
  • Track logistics and transportation costs across all flows, identify variances, and highlight risks or opportunities for cost optimization
  • Review, validate and manage invoices from logistics vendors and relevant service providers to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
  • Support business continuity during the 6-month assignment by stabilizing operations and ensuring consistent logistics performance
  • Provide structure, visibility, and governance across international logistics activities
  • Contribute to handover documentation, process clarification, and recommendations for long-term optimization

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in Logistics, International Logistics, or Supply Chain management
  • Proven success in vendor management and stakeholder coordination
  • Demonstrated elevated and sophisticated communication abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in Power Query and Power BI highly desirable
