Role & Responsibilities

• Drafting cease-and-desist letters and pre-litigation demand notices
• Assembling and organizing pre-contentious litigation files
• Conducting investigative research into IP infringements and violations
• Researching jurisprudence and legal doctrine; writing synthesis notes and legal memoranda
• Drafting legal opinions and providing strategic recommendations
• Managing pre-contentious and contentious files in coordination with external counsel as needed
• Preparing negotiation materials and supporting settlement discussions
• Drafting settlement agreement proposals and protocols
• Contributing to press review analysis and media monitoring
• Preparing comparative jurisprudence reports in collaboration with fellow interns

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master's degree in Intellectual Property Law
• Admitted to the bar or pursuing admission (avocat status); completion of legal apprenticeship required
• Expertise in design rights, copyright law, and trademark law
• Demonstrated experience in an IP legal practice, corporate counsel office, or law firm
• Fluent English proficiency
• Proficiency with office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Familiarity with legal databases and research tools

Experience

Entry-level; prior internship or junior role in IP law firm, legal counsel office, or corporate IP department preferred

Education

Master's degree in Intellectual Property Law (or equivalent postgraduate qualification); admission to the bar (avocat) or completion of legal apprenticeship (Diplôme d'Études Approfondies or M2)
