Louis Vuitton: Industrial Project Assistant, Jewelry internship in Paris. 6-month program supporting jewelry development and production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support senior project managers on jewelry development and production initiatives across a portfolio of assigned projects
- Define and clarify project objectives through analysis of technical drawings and specifications
- Coordinate resources and means to achieve quality, cost, and timeline targets
- Establish project timelines across development, industrialization, and production phases
- Manage project contingencies and resolve unforeseen obstacles
- Process and manage requests for quotations and prepare detailed cost estimates
- Monitor pre-production series and initial production orders
- Lead dual-sourcing initiatives from development through first production orders, optimizing pricing, quality, quantities, and lead times
- Conduct systematic assessments of gains achieved through dual-sourcing efforts (cost reductions, capacity improvements)
- Update development budgets on a weekly basis
- Prepare technical specifications and consolidate technical files
- Input and validate product information in the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) industrial database
- Standardize and homogenize performance dashboards
- Maintain and update the Launchmetrics tool for prototype movement tracking
- Coordinate countersampling efforts with new industrial partners
- Monitor production performance indicators (KPIs) to support delivery objectives in a high-growth context
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage prototype handling and oversight documentation
- Process supply requisitions
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master's degree program at an engineering school, business school, or equivalent university program
- Demonstrable rigor, precision, and understanding of technical complexity
- Agility and proven ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Proactive mindset with strong diplomatic and autonomous work approach
- Fluent in French and English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
Experience
Entry-level; no prior professional experience required; student or recent graduate status preferred. Sensitivity to jewelry design and appeal for the luxury jewelry sector considered advantageous.
Education
Master's degree student or recent graduate in engineering, business administration, or equivalent university program
