Louis Vuitton seeks Indirect Tax Specialist – South Asia in Singapore. GST compliance, SAP, and regional regulatory expertise required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Review quarterly Singapore GST reports prepared by the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to submission
- Analyse and validate GST treatments on different categories of transactions, ensuring correct reporting treatment
- Develop and implement robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all GST-related processes in Singapore, including documentation, record-keeping, and reporting
- Keep abreast of changes in Singapore GST regulations and assess their impact on company operations, proposing necessary adjustments to processes and systems
- Serve as the internal point of contact for GST-related queries for Singapore
- Assist in preparing for and responding to IRAS audits related to Major Exporters Scheme
- Support finance transformation and improvement initiatives, including finance system enhancements and SAP enhancements from a finance perspective
- Assist with product registrations, renewals, regulatory documentation, and regulatory processes to ensure market entry of products across the region
- Track and monitor regulatory submissions for all countries in scope, working closely with in-country teams and external consultants
- May support other trade compliance matters such as import licensing, customs classification, and management of audits and investigations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Singapore GST compliance and advisory, either within a multinational corporation or public accounting firm
- Exposure to finance systems and/or SAP in a business user capacity
- Strong proficiency in Excel (trackers, reconciliations, status reporting)
