Louis Vuitton Human Resources Manager in New York. Strategic HR leadership role with $110K–$155K salary plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with Corporate and Regional HR teams on leave of absence requests, worker's compensation, benefits, compensation, and payroll inquiries; maintain accurate personnel records in compliance with NY corporate office requirements and federal regulations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, communicate Louis Vuitton HR policies and procedures to all employees, and implement employment policies consistently
- Identify key developmental needs and work with Store Management and Regional HR to foster talent development, career growth, retention, and succession planning for all staff
- Lead performance management activities including annual review campaigns, coaching on corrective actions, Sales Action Plans (SAPs), and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) in partnership with Regional HR
- Manage employee relations cases, investigate concerns in collaboration with the Employee Relations center of excellence, and escalate matters to the corporate Employee Relations and Regional HR teams
- Coach and educate managers on HR relations skills including conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, teamwork, and performance coaching
- Maintain FTE budget, manage staff costs, headcount, and HR KPIs in coordination with Regional HR
- Proactively pipeline candidates with Talent Acquisition for future openings and refer qualified candidates to other local stores based on organizational fit
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of human resources management experience
- Extensive knowledge of HR administration principles and practices, employment law, and best practices
- Proven ability to work both strategically and tactically in a hands-on capacity
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle ambiguity and conflict effectively
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and approachability across all organizational levels
- Demonstrated command and influencing abilities with strong motivational capacity
- Proven track record of building effective teams and driving results
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of human resources management experience, ideally within a luxury retail or consumer goods environment. Demonstrated success in recruiting, performance management, talent development, and employee relations with proven ability to manage complex HR initiatives and maintain regulatory compliance at the state and federal level.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline is preferred; equivalent professional HR management experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree.
