Louis Vuitton seeks a Human Resources Director in New York to lead regional HR strategy, talent acquisition and development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with regional and retail leadership to define and execute HR strategy that supports commercial objectives, workforce planning and organizational design.
- Develop managers through coaching, performance management, and targeted development plans to build engagement, productivity and retention.
- Lead regional talent acquisition activities in partnership with the Regional Talent Acquisition Manager to attract diverse, high‑calibre candidates and ensure an inclusive candidate experience.
- Oversee performance review and organizational management review cycles to identify high‑potential talent, succession opportunities and career pathways.
- Advise and coach managers on employee relations matters; manage complex investigations and ensure compliance with company policy and local legislation.
- Collaborate with Compensation & Benefits to administer annual compensation reviews, payroll accuracy and local benefits administration.
- Partner with Learning & Talent teams to identify training needs and implement scalable development programs across the region.
- Drive internal communications initiatives with Corporate Communications as required to cascade policy, programs and cultural initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive human resources experience, with significant responsibility in a regional or multi‑site environment; experience in retail or a transferable client‑facing industry required.
- Demonstrable expertise in talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning and employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and proven experience managing complex ER investigations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and presentation skills; ability to operate tactically and strategically in a high‑velocity environment.
- Experience designing and delivering training programs and development initiatives.
- Authorization to work in the United States and ability to travel regularly to retail locations.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility for regional HR operations in retail or a closely related industry, with proven success in talent acquisition, ER management, performance and succession planning.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; advanced degree (MA/MBA) or HR certification preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 180,000 to USD 220,000 per annum.
