Role & Responsibilities

  • Validate technical feasibility of new designs ahead of launch meetings, analysing drawings and recommending necessary adaptations to ensure manufacturability.
  • Own the technical development of an assigned haute‑joaillerie product portfolio, identifying and escalating technical risks while meeting targets for cost, timing, quality, aesthetics and ergonomics.
  • Provide authoritative technical guidance to designers, internal and external engineering offices, ateliers, project managers, quality, marketing, merchandising and after‑sales teams.
  • Ensure robust, repeatable fabrication processes and conformity with the maison’s quality specifications through rigorous technical follow‑up with ateliers and project teams.
  • Drive innovation and technical watch: preserve traditional artisanal techniques and propose integration of new materials, processes or systems to enhance product performance and creativity.
  • Support cross‑functional teams with hands‑on problem solving, acting as the technical referent and ensuring clear coordination and communication across stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver technical training and knowledge transfer to internal teams and external ateliers to raise collective competence and ensure consistent execution.
  • Represent the maison at collection presentations and client or supplier meetings; travel within France and internationally as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in haute‑joaillerie technical development or in the manufacture of unique high‑jewellery pieces (OJ4 level).
  • Demonstrable mastery of high‑jewellery fabrication processes, materials (precious metals and gemstones) and artisanal techniques.
  • Proven ability to make technical decisions balancing cost, lead time, quality and aesthetic objectives.
  • Experience coordinating across design, engineering, production and quality teams in a demanding, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Fluent in French; working knowledge of English is essential.
  • Knowledge of CAO (CAD) tools is appreciated.
