Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive the identification, evaluation and specification of colored and ornamental gemstones in partnership with the Creative Studio, Marketing, Supply Chain, Industrial and Finance teams.
  • Develop and maintain a material library and technical datasheets for each stone type; author clear specifications and procurement briefs that integrate business requirements and RSE constraints (naturalness, provenance).
  • Manage prototype RFQs and supplier selection for jewellery projects; create reference sample boxes and ensure conformity to project specifications.
  • Oversee order follow-up for production plans in close functional liaison with stone supply, supply chain and industrial teams; monitor supplier capacities to meet Haute Joaillerie needs (TSP/TSO).
  • Implement and control quality assurance for pavé colour and other stone applications; coordinate external quality inspections when required.
  • Define and update standard prices, steward the supplier panel, conduct purchasing performance analyses and market/competitive intelligence.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for the Stones Service, including Group compliance implementation and roll-out of naturality requirements with suppliers and gemmology laboratories; contribute to cross‑functional tool development.

Qualifications

  • Formal training or diploma in gemmology.
  • Minimum three years' experience in a gemstones/stone sourcing, gemmology or jewellery stones department.
  • Strong command of English (good level required); professional French language skills are advantageous.
  • Proven autonomy, initiative and ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment while maintaining precision and rigour.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse technical and creative stakeholders.
