Louis Vuitton seeks a Gemmology Intern in Paris for a 6‑month on‑site internship starting Sept 2026 to support certification, PLM and stone operations.

Role & Responsibilities
- Manage gem and diamond certification workflows: verify returned certificates, update obsolete certificates and ensure correct naming, filing and distribution to stakeholders.
- Scan, upload and catalogue certificates and stone images into the PLM system, ensuring accurate metadata and photo documentation for purchases (diamonds and coloured stones).
- Implement product information and photographs in PLM following acquisitions of diamonds and coloured stones.
- Verify incoming (Confié In) and outgoing (Confié Out) consignments for weights and provenances; perform weekly tracking of the Confié In/Out process for both diamonds and coloured stones.
- Confirm suppliers submit the LV template and correctly notify provenances; escalate discrepancies to the purchasing manager.
- Support special orders and collections by assisting with stone scanning and photography.
- Assist with sorting pavé (colour and diamond) and reading diamond laser engravings/reports (GIA and GEMEX).
- Liaise with the Manager Expert Buyer (direct report) and collaborate functionally with Supply Chain Stones, Industrial (Jewellery & Haute Joaillerie), Marketing and Merchandising teams.
Qualifications
- Diploma in gemmology or currently completing a gemmology qualification.
- Proven rigour, strong attention to detail, curiosity and genuine passion for gemstones and jewellery.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Power BI and PLM systems is required or in active use.
- Ability to handle confidential, high‑value materials and follow strict process controls.

Entry‑level / beginner: suitable for recent graduates or current students in gemmology seeking an initial professional placement with hands‑on exposure to certification handling, PLM data entry and cross‑functional jewellery operations.
Education
Diploma in Gemmology or currently enrolled in a recognised gemmology programme.
