Louis Vuitton’s Manufacture de Souliers in Fiesso d’Artico is seeking a Footwear Sourcing Buyer for its purchasing department. The role manages purchasing and negotiations for HF, screen printing and embroidery, develops strategic suppliers, and coordinates sourcing, quality and delivery planning. This is a full-time, permanent position governed by the CCNL Industria Calzature.
Role & Responsibilities
- Negotiate purchasing conditions, including prices, delivery terms and lead times, capacity and availability, and investments.
- Select new suppliers through a risk-management approach to safeguard production by assessing capacity, reliability, quality and growth potential; advise and support raw-material sourcing staff.
- Assess suppliers based on their terms, production capabilities, quality, organization, confidentiality, and ability to innovate, grow and evolve.
- Ensure suppliers in the assigned area comply with Corporate Social Responsibility requirements, accept the Code of Ethics, and meet group purchasing terms and technical specifications.
- Prepare framework commitments or seasonal raw-material commitments based on forecasts and keep them updated; monitor delivery times and fulfillment of supply orders and contracts, balancing allocations.
- Plan purchasing at a macro level so purchase orders align with business needs, available budget and finished-product pricing policies set by Marketing.
- Support quality control, industrial developers and procurement staff in preventing delivery delays, intervening directly in critical situations.
Qualifications
- Degree in economics or law.
- At least 3 years of experience in footwear purchasing; the profile also specifies more than 5 years in footwear purchasing.
- Strong technical knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes, including HF, screen printing and embroidery, and of the materials used to make footwear.
- Proactivity, decision-making autonomy and responsiveness.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Strong knowledge of common IT tools and applications.
- Good knowledge of French and/or English.
