Louis Vuitton seeks a Senior Footwear Product Developer in Venice for the Sneakers team; PLM and Adobe skills required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Receive initial sketches and design briefs from the stylist and translate them into technical development plans for the sneakers collection.
  • Evaluate and select materials, colours and shapes in collaboration with the stylist to define construction and aesthetic choices.
  • Liaise with Purchasing, Patternmaking and the Style office to source components and analyse required operations.
  • Prepare prototypes and presentation samples for review by the stylist and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the initial marketing selection meeting to identify models designated for production.
  • Collaborate with the Paris style direction to align local development with global brand direction.
  • Assess and document sample evaluations (as indicated by Marketing) and produce detailed correction memos.
  • Create initial PLM drafts including material codes and technical specifications.
  • Manage and coordinate timelines and milestones across all phases of the collections.

Qualifications

  • Degree in fashion design or a related discipline; footwear design education preferred.
  • Technical training from a recognised footwear institute (Politecnico Calzaturiero preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in footwear product development, preferably in luxury sneakers.
  • Professional proficiency in English and good knowledge of French.
  • Proven experience with PLM systems and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
