Manufacture de Souliers Louis Vuitton seeks a Footwear Procurement Specialist in Venice, Italy. Lead vendor negotiations and strategic sourcing for footwear processing categories.
Role & Responsibilities
- Negotiate contractual terms including purchase prices, delivery schedules, lead times, capacity, availability, and vendor investments for assigned processing categories
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers with emphasis on risk management, assessing production capability, reliability, quality standards, and growth potential
- Assess vendor performance based on commercial terms, production characteristics, quality, organizational structure, confidentiality protocols, and innovation capacity
- Ensure assigned vendors comply with Corporate Social Responsibility standards, ethical codes, group purchasing general conditions, and technical specifications
- Establish and maintain framework agreements and seasonal raw material commitments based on forecasts; monitor delivery schedules and order fulfillment to balance assignments effectively
- Plan procurement at macro level to ensure purchase orders align with business requirements, available budget, and product pricing policies established by marketing
- Support quality control and industrial development teams to prevent delivery delays; provide direct intervention in critical situations
Qualifications
- Degree in economics or law
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in the footwear industry
- Expert technical knowledge of footwear processing techniques (heat fusion, screen printing, embroidery) and materials
- Proactive approach with autonomous decision-making capability and strong responsiveness
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel
- Proficiency with standard IT tools and business applications
- Fluent in French and/or English
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of procurement experience specifically in the footwear industry, demonstrating proficiency in vendor management, contract negotiation, and technical knowledge of footwear production processes and materials.
Education
Degree in economics, business law, or related quantitative discipline.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Venice, Veneto, Italy.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 35,000 per annum.
