Role & Responsibilities

  • Define, implement and sustain robust workshop methods and standards specific to high‑precision finishing and decoration techniques.
  • Coordinate daily workshop operations in line with the production plan, working closely with scheduling/ordonnancement teams.
  • Anticipate medium‑term capacity or process constraints and drive the development of pragmatic corrective solutions.
  • Act as the quality guardian for the scope: ensure final product quality, liaise with Central Customer Quality and propose continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate upstream in product development to assess feasibility and contribute to target cost discussions for finished components.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and availability of equipment, tools and workstations used by artisans.
  • Provide concise and transparent reporting to management on workshop activity and performance indicators.
  • Manage, coach and develop a team of approximately twenty artisans and supervisors; run daily production rituals, encourage cross‑functional collaboration and identify training needs.
  • Maintain exemplary standards of safety, cleanliness and compliance with health & safety procedures within the workshops.

Qualifications

  • Vocational or technical diploma in watchmaking, micromechanics, industrial production or equivalent professional training.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in watchmaking or jewellery manufacturing, including several years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Proven operational experience on the shop floor; experience in subcontracting environments is an advantage.
  • Strong industrial understanding of horology and jewellery manufacturing processes.
  • Pronounced interest and hands‑on knowledge of artisanal watch finishing and decoration techniques.
  • Demonstrable leadership, interpersonal skills, initiative and capacity to work in a collaborative, high‑performance environment.
