Louis Vuitton Chicago (Michigan Avenue) seeks an Expert Client Advisor — Hardsided. $27–$32/hr plus commission and comprehensive benefits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the in-store subject-matter expert for the hardsided luggage category, delivering exceptional product knowledge and storytelling at every customer touchpoint.
- Drive hardsided business performance through proactive selling, client acquisition and portfolio management, consistently aiming to be a top seller in the category.
- Lead product trainings, new-launch briefings and demonstrations to ensure the team’s technical and commercial competency.
- Coach and mentor colleagues through morning briefings, 1:1 coaching and on-the-floor observation of the selling ceremony.
- Communicate corporate strategy and local business objectives to the sales team and translate them into actionable retail activity.
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships using personalised clienteling techniques and follow-up strategies.
- Manage a personal client portfolio and execute tailored client development plans to maximise lifetime value and repeat business.
- Collaborate with store management to share market feedback, identify opportunities and support merchandising initiatives for the category.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in luxury retail or a closely related premium environment, preferably with exposure to luggage, travel or leather goods.
- Proven track record as a top seller within a defined product category.
- Exceptional storytelling and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage high-net-worth clients.
- Demonstrated ability to coach peers and communicate business priorities clearly.
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical approach to sales performance and client development.
Skills
Experience
At least 3 years of progressive experience in luxury retail sales, with demonstrable success selling luggage, travel or leather goods and evidence of consistent top-tier sales performance.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or tertiary education in retail, fashion, business or a related discipline preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 27 to USD 32 per hour.
