Louis Vuitton's horological manufacture, La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in Meyrin, seeks an experienced enameler for full-time permanent employment. The role encompasses operational activities within the Atelier La Fabrique des Arts, specializing in enamel work and miniature dial painting, including advanced techniques such as Champlevé, cloisonné, plique-à-jour, Limoges grisaille, and Geneva-technique miniature enamel painting.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials and conduct research for enamel and paint applications
  • Develop and research color formulations for product-specific requirements
  • Execute advanced enamel techniques including Champlevé, cloisonné, plique-à-jour, Limoges grisaille, and Geneva miniature enamel painting
  • Apply miniature painting techniques with precision and artistry
  • Independently manage kiln firings, lapidary work, and polishing operations
  • Perform aesthetic and dimensional quality control checks
  • Hand-finish enameled and painted pieces to meet design studio specifications and technical briefs

Qualifications

  • Expert mastery of all enamel techniques and miniaturist practices for dial work
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes within horological production
  • Proficiency in two- and three-dimensional volume work
  • Formal training in craft or applied arts (preferred)
  • Background in horology or fine watchmaking (preferred)
