Louis Vuitton seeks a Director of Warehouse Operations in New York to lead distribution operations across four DCs in the US and Canada. Salary USD $170,000–$200,000.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans for warehouse operations aligned with company goals for service, cost, and growth
- Establish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for all distribution centers, focusing on operational efficiency, service levels, and cost control
- Implement robust performance management processes to drive continuous improvement across the distribution network
- Oversee achievement of service level agreements (SLAs) with retail stores, ensuring timely and accurate replenishment
- Manage all aspects of 3PL provider relationships, including performance reviews, budgeting, capacity balancing, and issue resolution
- Ensure 3PLs adhere to agreed-upon operational standards, service levels, and cost targets
- Develop and implement joint improvement initiatives with 3PL partners to optimize operations and enhance service
- Identify and implement innovative solutions and technologies to enhance warehouse efficiency, service quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Lead initiatives to improve replenishment processes for retail stores, leveraging best practices and cutting-edge logistics solutions
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the warehouse operations team and with 3PL partners
- Collaborate with Supply Chain team to optimize inventory flow, warehousing strategies, and overall logistics network design
- Partner with Retail leadership to understand store needs and challenges, ensuring distribution services meet requirements
- Work with Digital team to ensure timeliness of deliveries, especially during peak periods
- Engage with Finance department to manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial accountability across all DC operations
- Travel regularly to distribution center locations
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Warehouse Operations Management, including multi-DC environments
- Proven success in managing 3PL relationships and contracts
- Strong expertise in warehousing best practices, inventory management, logistics technology, and supply chain principles
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, cost reduction, and service level improvements
- Experience with US and Canadian distribution networks highly desirable
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, fostering effective stakeholder collaboration
- Ability to travel regularly to distribution center locations
