Louis Vuitton Americas seeks Director of Pop-Up Production in New York; manage luxury retail installations across Americas with USD $160K–$180K salary.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop pop-up designs in partnership with the Paris headquarters pop-up team and the Head of Visual Merchandising for Louis Vuitton Americas
  • Coordinate retail requirements with internal departments including IS&T, Asset Protection, Retail Operations, and local Visual Merchandising teams
  • Deliver project reporting to senior stakeholders including the Head of Retail, regional retail leadership, operations teams, finance, and Visual Merchandising
  • Manage shop drawings to ensure all front and back of house areas comply with building codes and inspection requirements for respective regions, markets, and states
  • Monitor project timing, budget execution, and quality delivery within Louis Vuitton standards and established launch dates
  • Oversee quality control of all build-outs, animation installations, and exterior signage
  • Review and ensure compliance with Real Estate lease requirements for all external retail spaces
  • Negotiate vendor pricing and terms to optimize cost efficiency while preserving luxury retail space quality
  • Conduct competitive bidding processes with multiple suppliers to maintain cost control
  • Anticipate and implement surface protection measures for leased or borrowed retail spaces
  • Remain adaptable to design evolution and associated impacts on production timelines and budgets
  • Coordinate with landlords and mall partners when executing installations within larger retail centers

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in architectural design or a closely related field with demonstrated expertise in retail or experiential space production
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD with ability to accurately read, verify, and manage shop drawings
  • Strong vendor management capabilities with proven track record coordinating multiple suppliers and contractors
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to engage diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-starter mentality with demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight
  • Strong financial acumen including advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency for budget development and management
  • Knowledge of building codes, compliance standards, and pre-scribed inspection requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Familiarity with Real Estate lease terms and landlord coordination requirements

Experience
