Louis Vuitton is hiring a Director of Demand Planning in New York, NY to lead forecasting strategy and oversee demand planning operations across product categories.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage a Demand Planning team of five professionals, including Senior Manager roles, providing strategic leadership and coaching
- Develop and own monthly and annual sales forecasts across all product categories
- Drive consensus forecasting processes by aligning Merchandising, Retail, E-Commerce, Finance, and executive leadership
- Monitor, challenge, and refine budget projections per category to ensure alignment with organizational growth targets
- Serve as primary owner of all forecast and demand planning communications to senior management
- Anticipate demand fluctuations and provide visibility for peak seasons and key commercial events
- Participate in strategic decisions within showrooms
- Maintain strong work partnerships with Merchandising and Retail teams
- Provide regular and accurate reporting to Central Supply Chain teams
- Streamline communication flows to stores and warehouse teams to improve operational efficiency
- Partner with Distribution Planning Director to optimize lead times and inventory targets
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience in luxury and fashion supply chain with focus on demand planning
- Proven leadership experience with track record of people development and coaching approach
- Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills with ability to synthesize complex data
- Strong understanding of supply chain standard operating procedures and forecasting methodologies
- Experience with planning systems such as Anaplan, Power BI, or equivalent Order Management Systems
- Demonstrated agility, change management capability, and continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all business partners
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional team environments
