Louis Vuitton seeks Director of Canvas & Textiles Division in Paris—lead materials development strategy and manage 15+ procurement professionals.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of approximately 15 professionals, including Project Buyers and Materials Developers, fostering excellence and continuous innovation
  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for the Canvas & Textiles division in alignment with the Procurement and LVMH Group policies
  • Ensure effective implementation of divisional strategy to meet the Maison's business objectives
  • Oversee the development of new and permanent textile and canvas materials to meet Maison standards and LVMH Group compliance
  • Establish quality strategy for the Materials division in coordination with New Products Development and Quality departments
  • Champion talent development, enhance team capabilities, and strengthen the visibility and appeal of Canvas & Textiles expertise within the organization
  • Identify and pursue innovations and new suppliers in close collaboration with Design and Marketing teams to anticipate the Maison's evolving needs
  • Implement working methodologies to optimize team efficiency and ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration across the three Materials divisions (leather, metal hardware, textiles) and related departments
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key supplier leadership to deepen relationships, drive development initiatives, and align suppliers with the Maison's brand values and culture

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (Bac+5) from an engineering school, business school, university or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of significant experience in procurement and materials/product development
  • Demonstrated expertise in textiles and canvas materials
  • Proficiency with information systems, particularly development-related software tools
  • Fluency in French and English, both written and oral
  • Italian language skills are a distinct asset

Experience
