Louis Vuitton seeks Diamond Buyer in Paris, France. Manage jewelry procurement, supplier relations, and quality control for luxury collections. Permanent role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute diamond quotations for all collection types, including center stones, fancy cuts, and pavé settings for High Jewelry launches
- Pilot and manage orders with the Maison's established supplier panel, ensuring compliance with Louis Vuitton diamond specifications
- Construct and implement jewelry production supply plans in partnership with the Supply Chain team
- Monitor supplier capacity and performance metrics while conducting competitive and market intelligence analysis
- Establish and update pricing strategies and manage the supplier panel in alignment with purchasing objectives
- Implement group compliance policies and contribute to the development of cross-functional tools and processes for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in Gemmology
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a stones/diamonds procurement or quality control function
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SAP
- Demonstrated expertise in jewelry and high jewelry procurement from conception through production
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Collaborative mindset with ability to engage effectively across diverse technical and creative profiles
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience within a diamonds or precious stones procurement department, with demonstrated expertise in gem quality assessment, supplier management, and jewelry product development.
Education
Formal qualification in Gemmology (certification, diploma, or equivalent professional training in gem science and diamond grading).
