About Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton is a leading maison of luxury fashion and leather goods and a member of the LVMH group. The brand operates a dedicated horological workshop, La Fabrique du Temps in Meyrin (Geneva), which combines creative studio design with traditional Swiss watchmaking and artisanal métiers d'art.
Louis Vuitton (Geneva) seeks a Dial Enameller for its Fabrique du Temps — permanent, full-time role crafting hand-enameled watch dials.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and research supports, substrates and colour palettes for enamel and miniature painting on watch dials.
- Develop and fine-tune colours and glazes specific to each dial design.
- Apply traditional enamelling techniques including champlevé, cloisonné, plique-à-jour and grisaille de Limoges, as well as miniature enamel painting under translucent enamel.
- Manage kiln firings autonomously and perform subsequent lapping, polishing and finishing operations.
- Perform aesthetic and dimensional self-inspections to ensure conformity with the studio creation specifications.
- Produce hand-enameled and hand-painted dial components strictly according to the design brief and quality standards of the studio.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years' professional experience in enamelling and miniature painting, ideally within horology or a fine-arts enamelling workshop.
- Demonstrable mastery of multiple enamelling techniques (champlevé, cloisonné, plique-à-jour, grisaille) and miniature painting on dials.
- Proven ability to manage kiln firings, lapping and polishing with exacting quality control.
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and spatial (2D/3D) volume interpretation; a diplôme des métiers d'art or equivalent is an asset.
- High level of autonomy, creativity, meticulous attention to detail, strong teamwork and clear communication skills.
