Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute all manual and machine-based decorative operations on watch dials with full autonomy, including sanding, blasting, spray application, sunburst finishing, vertical and circular satining, protective coating application, and removal processes
  • Ensure planarity of dials using both manual techniques and mechanical sanders, adhering to precise dimensional tolerances
  • Perform flat polishing on metals, minerals, and enamel surfaces to achieve the required surface finish and aesthetic standards
  • Maintain strict adherence to workshop operating procedures, established standards, and all applicable health and safety regulations
  • Conduct proactive quality control through self-inspection of completed work against established quality benchmarks and technical specifications
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Interpret and execute technical drawings and specifications accurately to ensure consistency and precision in all decorative work

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in dial decoration (Swiss AFP or CFC certification, or equivalent recognized credential)
  • Demonstrated mastery of planarity techniques and manual/machine-based decorative operations for dial production
  • Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and executing technical drawings and specifications
  • Proven ability to manage workflow and prioritize tasks to meet production objectives and timelines
  • Strong analytical skills with capacity to diagnose technical issues and propose proactive solutions
  • Self-inspection and quality control competency with attention to detail and adherence to exacting standards
  • Exceptional manual dexterity, precision, and discipline in handling delicate horological components
