Data Scientist (F/H) position at Louis Vuitton in Paris — machine learning, supply chain, 5+ years required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Gather business requirements and define data science and AI projects to resolve operational and product-related challenges, evaluating priorities and communicating progress across stakeholders
  • Build evidence-based arguments to support strategic choices and bridge technical and business teams to identify compromise solutions
  • Implement data science projects and analyses addressing Louis Vuitton product and operations challenges
  • Measure performance and ROI of machine learning models, comparing outcomes against existing business approaches
  • Deploy implemented methods to production in collaboration with data engineers
  • Present results and alerts to business teams; provide ongoing training on data and AI principles and techniques
  • Continuously improve models and tools based on team feedback and operational insights

Qualifications

  • Degree from an Engineering School or University (Bac+5 equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data science, ideally in supply chain or manufacturing contexts
  • Expertise in statistical techniques, descriptive and predictive modelling, and machine learning algorithms
  • Recognised expertise in analysing large, complex datasets in distributed environments
  • Significant experience developing data science solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Proficiency in Dataiku and Python
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and oral)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team collaboration mindset
  • Sensitivity to luxury sector values: excellence, rigour, attention to detail, and creativity
