Role & Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate construction documentation, including contractor, architect, consulting and services agreements (including AIA documents).
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial facilities service agreements and other vendor contracts supporting store operations.
- Draft, review and negotiate retail lease‑related documents: leases, subleases, assignments, amendments, renewals, surrenders, releases, access and termination agreements.
- Prepare and negotiate office leases, licenses and short‑term location agreements for pop‑ups and events.
- Review and negotiate SNDAs (subordination, non‑disturbance and attornment agreements) and estoppel certificates.
- Manage insurance claims and related documentation, coordinating with paralegals and risk teams.
- Provide pragmatic legal advice to support store openings, remodels and the Americas real estate portfolio; anticipate legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in New York State, in good standing.
- Minimum 4+ years of transactional real estate legal experience in a law firm or a combination of law firm and in‑house corporate settings; in‑house experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate complex construction and commercial agreements, including familiarity with AIA forms.
- Strong commercial judgment, meticulous attention to detail and capacity to manage a high volume of concurrent matters and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and client‑facing skills; ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.

Experience
Minimum four years of transactional real estate experience in a law firm or a hybrid law firm/in‑house background; prior in‑house real estate experience and handling of construction contracts, leases and SNDAs preferred.
Education
J.D. (or equivalent) from an accredited law school; admission to the New York State bar and in good standing.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 130,000 to USD 155,000 per annum.
