Louis Vuitton seeks a Corporate General Accounting Manager in Paris to lead general ledger, month‑end close and statutory reporting for French entities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the corporate general accounting team based at the Paris head office.
- Oversee and continuously improve the quality and robustness of general ledger accounting processes.
- Manage and supervise monthly and periodic month‑end closing activities and reconciliations.
- Review financial statements, statutory reports and legal documents for French entities.
- Supervise preparation of documentation and support for VAT, tax, URSSAF reviews and statutory auditors.
- Design and deliver internal training on accounting standards, controls and best practices.
- Maintain technical accounting vigilance and communicate the impact of regulatory changes to French entities.
- Drive finance projects on the roadmap (FEC, DEB, PDP, electronic invoicing, transaction accounting) and coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Coordinate major accounting flows and interfaces with the financial community: Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in general accounting, including significant experience in public accounting or a Big Four environment.
- Deep knowledge of French accounting standards (Plan Comptable Général) and strong familiarity with IFRS.
- Proven expertise in French corporate tax and VAT matters.
- Demonstrated managerial experience with the ability to motivate and federate a technical team.
- Track record of leading finance transformation projects and working in cross‑functional, project‑based settings.
Skills
Experience
At least 10 years of relevant experience in general accounting, with significant exposure to public accounting/audit and hands‑on responsibility for month‑end close, statutory reporting and tax/audit deliverables.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; a master’s degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., Chartered Accountant / DSCG or equivalent) is preferred.
