Louis Vuitton in Paris seeks a Component Developer — Men's Ready-to-Wear to manage trims, materials and supplier development for the Fashion & Leather Goods division.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end development of components (trims, linings, findings, permanent and seasonal parts) for men's ready-to-wear collections.
  • Coordinate daily with the studio, product managers, purchasing, production and external suppliers to ensure timely approvals and deliveries.
  • Create and maintain component codifications in the PLM system, including carry-overs and permanent items.
  • Purchase seasonal component orders for new developments and replenishment, ensuring adherence to budget and target price points.
  • Rationalise seasonal offers in collaboration with the Studio across categories to optimize assortments and costs.
  • Oversee shipments of materials and components to manufacturing sites in liaison with stock management.
  • Manage a supplier portfolio, qualifying partners able to meet collection volumes, quality standards, target prices and lead times.
  • Support the brand's sustainability strategy by developing durable component alternatives that respect price, quality and production timelines.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (Bac+4/5) in business, textile engineering, product development or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in product/component development within the fashion or ready-to-wear sector.
  • Strong understanding of luxury brand standards and product development processes.
  • Proven experience working with Italian and French component suppliers is a strong advantage.
  • Fluent in French and English; proficiency in Italian is a plus.
  • Demonstrated rigour, initiative, strong prioritisation skills and ability to collaborate across multiple functions.

Experience

At least 5 years in fashion product or component development, preferably within luxury ready-to-wear. Experience coordinating with studios, buyers, production sites and external suppliers, and a track record of managing supplier portfolios and development budgets.

Master’s degree (Bac+4/5) in business, textile engineering, fashion product development or equivalent.
