Louis Vuitton Communications Director in Madrid: Lead Mediterranean PR strategy, manage regional teams, and elevate brand presence across 7 countries.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and oversee execution of the Mediterranean communication strategy in alignment with global and EMEA direction and regional business objectives
  • Lead and mentor the Mediterranean communication team, fostering talent development, collaboration, and high performance across all projects and initiatives
  • Establish the paid media strategy in collaboration with the global media team with a focus on performance metrics
  • Develop and execute a 360-degree press strategy to maintain digital media relations leadership and ensure consistent Louis Vuitton presence across social channels
  • Collaborate with global talent teams to implement celebrity and influencer strategies throughout the Mediterranean region
  • Determine and manage the regional PR budget based on global and EMEA recommendations
  • Oversee communication agencies across Portugal, Turkey, Greece, and other regional markets, establishing KPIs based on brand awareness and business needs
  • Partner with head office cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Client Development, Digital, Finance, and Retail Development to ensure consistent alignment across all channels
  • Coordinate with the Client Development department on organizing local events, store openings, in-store activities, and regional initiatives including image events, brand partnerships, and retail activations
  • Liaise directly with Mediterranean retail stores and teams to align on seasonal directives, business goals, and performance indicators
  • Share communication results across the organization to support clienteling efforts and drive sales performance

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading PR, communications, and media activities for a retail organization
  • Proven experience working with luxury brands
  • Experience working in an international environment
  • Demonstrated success managing major events such as store openings and brand activations
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships across complex business matrices
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment
  • Intellectual curiosity regarding fashion, culture, arts, and craft
  • Strong knowledge of digital platforms and social media tools
  • Highly agile and capable of executing effectively while navigating ambiguity
  • Fluency in Spanish and English with strong presentation and reporting capabilities
  • Willingness to travel as required
