Louis Vuitton is seeking a Collection Merchandising Manager in Paris to lead collection budgets, marketing briefs, collection development, product activation and downstream launch management, while managing four Collection Merchandisers. The role is a permanent, full-time position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define the budget for mock-ups and duplicates and ensure it is respected.
- Contribute to developing the research budget in partnership with the sourcing teams.
- Define the overall marketing strategy.
- Translate senior management’s vision into concrete activations for the category.
- Structure collection needs by theme.
- Lead the marketing team in drafting the brief.
- Coordinate communication across métiers to address the silhouette approach.
- Share and present the brief to the project team, including Design.
- Build, lead and manage the annual collection development calendar.
- Validate agendas for collection-building forums and milestones, including project reviews and storyboards.
- Plan and establish cross-functional forums and milestones, including scenographic requirements.
- Define, share and order the collection’s leather colour palette, ensuring the allocated budget is respected.
- Define collection priorities with Merchandising and share them with the project team.
- Validate post-milestone edits, including storyboards and showrooms.
- Facilitate Go Style approval while respecting margin, the House’s specifications and the desired aesthetic.
- Support the upstream-to-downstream handover of the collection.
- Monitor the management of newness to ensure a high-quality launch.
- Define the collection’s 360-degree strategy.
- Define training topics and formats, and approve the content.
- Act as the key contact for Visual Merchandising teams on guidelines and the development of sales-support tools, including packaging, in-store activations, pop-ins and pop-ups.
- Manage four Collection Merchandisers.
- Manage team performance and develop team skills.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in Product Marketing, including significant experience in leather goods.
- Strong product sensibility and excellent knowledge of the luxury and fashion markets and the competitive landscape.
- Proficiency in marketing techniques, including marketing-plan design and management, price positioning and market analysis.
- Strong project-management and team-management skills.
- Emotional intelligence, adaptability and organisational skills.
- Results-oriented approach.
- Leadership and ability to influence and unite teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, and proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent command of French and English.
