Collection Merchandiser role at Louis Vuitton Paris for men's accessories development and merchandising strategy.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead trend analysis, competitive benchmarking, and product innovation reviews to inform collection strategy
- Initiate and develop collection briefs, incorporating mood boards, shape development, and material specifications
- Structure and maintain the model database (modelario) with updated product references
- Define key product segmentations and commercial positioning in alignment with business objectives
- Conduct and facilitate project reviews with product and design leadership as required by category
- Analyze product economics, including margin structures, pricing evolution, and cost feasibility
- Manage and update SKU information and technical specifications throughout the development cycle
- Monitor prototype evolution and document critical project milestones and approvals
- Ensure pricing, assortment, and technical feasibility alignment across the collection
- Develop and organize showroom presentation materials, including model boards and competitive benchmarks
- Oversee showroom setup and installation logistics
- Update post-showroom tools and confirm purchasing decisions with design and industrial teams
- Participate in showroom presentations and buyer engagement as required by category
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Visual Merchandising, Communications, Retail Merchandising, Design, and Production teams
- Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing tools, training materials, and departmental communications
Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with demonstrated practical experience
- Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities with attention to detail and rigor
- Deep product sensibility and understanding of luxury market dynamics and competitive landscape
- Minimum 3 years of collection merchandising experience, preferably in a central merchandising function
- Thorough knowledge of the accessories universe and its technical requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
