Louis Vuitton in Venice seeks a CAD Cutting Operator — Footwear. Full-time, on-site role in leather uppers cutting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and organise leather and component materials in accordance with production plans and quality specifications.
- Operate CAD cutting machines to cut uppers and other footwear components precisely to pattern specifications.
- Interpret technical patterns and production markers; adjust nesting and layout to optimise material yield.
- Carry out visual and dimensional quality checks on cut components, reporting defects and maintaining traceability.
- Maintain and perform basic upkeep of cutting equipment; escalate technical issues to maintenance as required.
- Collaborate closely with pattern makers, production planners and downstream sewing/assembly teams to ensure continuity and on-time flow.
- Comply with safety, material handling and housekeeping standards within the cutting department.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years' hands-on experience in CAD cutting of leathers, preferably within footwear manufacturing.
- Demonstrable knowledge of high-end leathers, fabrics and component materials used in luxury footwear.
- Proven ability to read and apply technical patterns and markers for footwear uppers.
- Availability to work full time, Monday to Friday, on-site at the manufacture.

Experience
At least 5 years of practical experience in CAD-assisted leather cutting for footwear production, with prior exposure to luxury or artisanal shoemaking environments preferred.
Education
Technical diploma or vocational training in leather goods, footwear manufacturing, or completion of a related apprenticeship; equivalent practical experience accepted.
