Role & Responsibilities
- Negotiate contractual terms including purchase prices, costs, delivery schedules, lead times, capacity constraints, and supplier investment requirements
- Evaluate and select new suppliers based on capability, reliability, quality standards, growth potential, and risk management considerations to protect production continuity
- Assess supplier performance across production capacity, quality output, organizational structure, confidentiality protocols, innovation capacity, and scalability
- Ensure supplier compliance with corporate social responsibility standards, ethical codes, group purchasing conditions, and technical and chemical specifications
- Prepare and maintain framework and seasonal raw material commitments based on forecasting; monitor delivery timelines and order fulfillment to optimize supplier assignments
- Plan macro-level purchasing strategies to align order issuance with business requirements, budgetary constraints, and product pricing policies established by marketing
- Support quality control, industrial developers, and supply chain teams to prevent delivery delays; intervene directly in critical supply situations
Qualifications
- Secondary education diploma or degree in economics or scientific disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in leather and textile procurement, preferably within footwear manufacturing
- Advanced English language proficiency; French language knowledge is advantageous
- Excellent negotiation capabilities
- Strong communication skills and synthetic analytical thinking
- Proficiency with standard office and procurement software applications
- Results-oriented mindset with demonstrated teamwork ability
