Role & Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contractual terms including purchase prices, costs, delivery schedules, lead times, capacity constraints, and supplier investment requirements
  • Evaluate and select new suppliers based on capability, reliability, quality standards, growth potential, and risk management considerations to protect production continuity
  • Assess supplier performance across production capacity, quality output, organizational structure, confidentiality protocols, innovation capacity, and scalability
  • Ensure supplier compliance with corporate social responsibility standards, ethical codes, group purchasing conditions, and technical and chemical specifications
  • Prepare and maintain framework and seasonal raw material commitments based on forecasting; monitor delivery timelines and order fulfillment to optimize supplier assignments
  • Plan macro-level purchasing strategies to align order issuance with business requirements, budgetary constraints, and product pricing policies established by marketing
  • Support quality control, industrial developers, and supply chain teams to prevent delivery delays; intervene directly in critical supply situations

Qualifications

  • Secondary education diploma or degree in economics or scientific disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in leather and textile procurement, preferably within footwear manufacturing
  • Advanced English language proficiency; French language knowledge is advantageous
  • Excellent negotiation capabilities
