Role & Responsibilities
- Design and develop BI tools and dashboards to optimise the daily workflows of BI teams and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to the establishment and documentation of BI governance: community building, technological watch, training, monitoring, security, quality and compliance.
- Embed within a business squad to follow the end-to-end BI/Analytics engineering lifecycle (requirements gathering, planning, development, testing, deployment).
- Facilitate and run requirements workshops with Data Product Managers, BI Engineers, Data Engineers, managers and business teams; synthesise and translate needs into actionable specifications.
- Plan, design and implement one or more BI solutions that produce measurable impact for the squad.
- Manage tool deployment and provide change management: user communication, training and adoption support.
- Support the team on ongoing initiatives related to BI governance and technology scouting to help raise BI maturity across the organisation.
Qualifications
- Final-year engineering student or master’s candidate in Data Engineering, Data Analytics or equivalent university programme.
- Hands‑on knowledge of SQL and experience with relational and non-relational data sources, event streaming and APIs.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage) and ETL/orchestration tools.
- Experience with Power BI for reporting and dashboarding.
- Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins and Airflow.
- Strong written and verbal communication in French and English; ability to run workshops and present technical information to business stakeholders.
- Organised, concise, precise and able to work collaboratively across teams.
Skills
Experience
Entry-level / apprenticeship: academic coursework or project experience in data engineering, analytics or BI is expected; no prior full-time professional experience required. Practical exposure to SQL, cloud data platforms and a BI tool is preferred.
Education
Final-year engineering school or master’s degree in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science or equivalent university programme.
