Louis Vuitton — Paris: Assistant Special Orders Coordinator (Intern). 6‑month internship coordinating prototype development for exotic leather special orders.
Role & Responsibilities
- Estimate and prepare costings for bespoke and special order requests, ensuring accurate evaluation of materials, labour and resources.
- Coordinate end‑to‑end prototype development from initial concept to final validation, including creation of the unique master and detailed bill of materials (nomenclatures).
- Verify availability and conformity of all raw materials (notably exotic leathers and furs) and manage logistics and deliveries to pattern makers and ateliers in France and Italy.
- Propose and analyse design alternatives for feasibility and manufacturability in collaboration with design, marketing and production teams.
- Plan, launch and supervise technical feasibility tests (material complexing and sub‑assembly testing), follow laboratory testing and implement remedial recommendations.
- Conduct upstream risk analyses and propose mitigation plans to lift technical and production risks.
- Manage administrative and budgetary follow‑up: monitor invoicing, ensure document compliance, control collection budgets and optimise prototyping capacity.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a recognised programme (business school, engineering school, fashion/luxury or project management) relevant to product development or industrial coordination.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organisational rigour, attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple development streams simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with designers, suppliers and workshop teams.
- Proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity and adaptability in a fast‑paced luxury environment.
- Familiarity with Power BI (PWBI) is a plus.
