Louis Vuitton seeks a Product Development Assistant to support the Men's Footwear category within its Product Direction. The intern will participate in all phases of product development, from collection planning and competitive positioning to showroom merchandising, communications, and prototype management. This role offers comprehensive exposure to luxury footwear creation and coordinates across design, manufacturing, marketing, and press teams in a hybrid working environment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Participate in and monitor footwear collections in collaboration with the Product Manager
  • Assist in establishing collection presentation instances and develop collection mappings across product lines
  • Conduct competitive analysis and ad hoc market studies on product positioning and pricing strategy
  • Create showroom sales support materials including showroom books, material books, and product reference guides
  • Support showroom setup and merchandising activities
  • Brief and lead photography shoots for packshot, e-commerce, product video, and campaign content
  • Manage post-production workflows including photo retouching coordination
  • Compile and coordinate product sets for press distribution
  • Manage daily prototype inventory and coordinate loans for press, campaigns, and studio usage
  • Serve as coordinator across industrial, design, press, and marketing teams to facilitate product development workflows

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Business School, Fashion School, or Master's degree program
  • Strong sensitivity to fashion and luxury aesthetics with genuine interest in footwear category
  • Authentic fashion culture and market awareness
  • Demonstrated rigor, strong interpersonal skills, and collaborative work style
  • Creative mindset and comfort with multi-faceted coordinator responsibilities
  • Fluent English and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
  • Seeking an internship or gap-year placement
