Louis Vuitton is seeking an Art Education and Exhibition Support Intern for its Espace contemporary art exhibition space in Munich, starting immediately for a 12-month, full-time internship of 40 hours per week. The role combines exhibition tours and visitor coordination with event and education programme support, exhibition preparation and database management.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead exhibition tours for groups and individuals, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Support the care and operation of the exhibition space, including maintaining the exhibition and its technical equipment.
- Help organise and coordinate group and individual visits.
- Schedule the mediator team.
- Assist with planning, delivering and hosting special events, including openings, the Long Night of Museums and special tours.
- Help deliver education programmes tailored to children and young people.
- Help prepare two exhibitions, including conducting literature research, preparing and sending newsletters, outreach to groups and event support.
- Support database management.
- Work in the exhibition space for two to three days; spend the remaining time at the Louis Vuitton Germany head office in Munich.
Qualifications
- Completed or ongoing university studies in art history, cultural management, event management, tourism or a comparable field.
- Initial experience in the cultural, educational or media sector, ideally in art education.
- Practical experience working with databases.
- Confident use of standard office applications.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Good English.
- Strong communication skills, creativity and openness to innovation.
- High flexibility, an independent and precise working style, and ability to work in a team.
- Willingness to work evenings or weekends for events.
