Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of general accounting, month‑end/quarter‑end/year‑end close and financial reporting for Louis Vuitton Japan KK and one consolidated group entity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to management and headquarters.
  • Maintain and update the accounting system and ledgers, including the chart of accounts, accounting policies, procedures and control workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and group guidelines; support preparation of tax returns and ensure appropriate accounting treatment and controls for tax matters.
  • Strengthen and maintain internal control frameworks; support internal control reviews and complete group internal control reporting requirements.
  • Supervise asset reconciliations and inventory discrepancy analysis to preserve integrity of reported balances.
  • Provide documentation and information to internal and external auditors and tax authorities; coordinate audit and tax review activities.
  • Develop and maintain Business Continuity processes for accounting responsibilities and lead ad‑hoc projects related to accounting flows, rules and systems.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and related accounting deliverables.
  • Coach, develop and manage a small accounting team (approximately 3 members).

Qualifications

  • University degree in Economics, Finance or Business; CPA qualification preferable.
  • Minimum 5 years' accounting experience in a multinational company or Big Four environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of IFRS and JGAAP and hands‑on experience with accounting procedures in a business environment.
  • Fluent Japanese (JLPT N1) and business‑level English (reading, writing and speaking).
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; proven ability to build effective cross‑functional relationships.
  • Capacity to prioritise multiple projects, work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Experience
