Louis Vuitton seeks an Accounting Manager in Milan to lead a 7-person team, manage financial closures, and ensure compliance—€65,000+ annual salary.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee accurate maintenance of general and analytical accounting in compliance with applicable accounting principles and Group policies, specifically accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, intercompany transactions, and treasury management
- Ensure accurate and timely recognition of costs, accruals, and provisions in accordance with both national accounting principles for statutory financial statement preparation and international standards for Group reporting packages
- Coordinate and supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closures, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of financial information
- Coordinate all corporate compliance activities, including preparation of the statutory financial statements
- Manage relationships with external auditors, audit committees, compliance bodies, and other professionals involved in administrative and compliance activities
- Support the CFO in identifying and evaluating accounting, administrative, and financial risks, proposing corrective and improvement actions
- Oversee tax and fiscal matters in collaboration with external accounting and tax consultants, ensuring proper application of current regulations
- Monitor procurement of commercial licenses for retail locations in collaboration with external consultants
- Drive optimization and simplification of administrative and accounting processes through continuous improvement initiatives
- Support implementation and evolution of ERP systems and Finance tools in collaboration with EMEA project leaders, promoting automation and digitalization
- Ensure compliance with Internal Control, Compliance, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) procedures established by the Group
- Manage corporate risks through appropriate insurance policies in accordance with Group guidelines
- Coordinate, develop, and mentor the administrative team, promoting technical excellence, accountability, and professional growth
- Collaborate with the FP&A team and business leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in accounting, administration, or finance roles
- Demonstrated expertise in statutory financial statement preparation and management of periodic accounting closures
- Strong knowledge of general accounting and Italian civil law regulations
- Solid understanding of principal tax and fiscal matters
- Prior experience in structured multinational environments
- Previous experience managing and coordinating administrative teams
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Fluency in SAP ERP (preferred)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Structured approach, orientation toward continuous improvement, and meticulous attention to data quality
- Ability to work effectively against deadlines and interact with both local and international stakeholders
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, leadership ability, and team collaboration orientation

Experience
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in accounting, administration, or finance roles within multinational organizations. The candidate should have consolidated expertise in statutory financial statement preparation, periodic accounting closures, general accounting, Italian tax regulations, and team management.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.

The successful candidate will be located in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 65,000 per annum.
