Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain books and records in accordance with local legal and statutory requirements
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting packages including sales, income statement, cash position, cash flow forecasts, inventory, and headcount reports for Country and Regional offices
  • Prepare month-end and year-end statutory accounts and support year-end audit procedures
  • Provide supporting documentation for budget preparation, revisions, and three-year plan development
  • Implement internal control procedures established by the company
  • Handle tax compliance matters, including tax filing and VAT reporting to authorities
  • Advise and support the Accounting and Finance team on local legal requirements such as customs clearance and statutory filings
  • Conduct analytical review of sales, cost of sales, and expenses
  • Monitor physical inventories and ensure necessary adjustments are recorded
  • Safeguard company assets and stock, including follow-up on discrepancies and support for retail stock monitoring
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly stock take activities
  • Execute additional assignments as directed by the Finance Director and Managing Director

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline
  • CPA certification (preferred but not required)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in similar capacity with multinational firms
  • Proficiency with reporting and consolidation software, particularly SAP
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Action-oriented mindset with drive for results
  • Retail industry experience (preferred)
  • Fluent command of written and spoken English

Experience

Minimum 10 years of accounting experience in similar capacity with multinational organizations, with demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting, statutory compliance, and tax administration.
