Loro Piana in Quarona, Italy seeks a Weaving Operator — full-time, on-site role operating and maintaining looms (three-shift).
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare, set up and load weaving looms, including yarn/beam handling and correct threading for production runs.
- Monitor loom operation continuously, carry out mechanical adjustments and first-line repairs to resolve yarn breaks and minor machine faults.
- Inspect woven fabric to ensure conformity with quality specifications and report defects or process deviations.
- Complete production documentation and communicate technical issues to maintenance and production supervisors in a timely manner.
- Operate within a rotating three-shift schedule and comply with workplace health, safety and housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with textile technicians and report to the shift supervisor and department manager; contribute to continuous improvement of weaving processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Diploma di scuola media superiore).
- Minimum three years of proven, hands-on experience operating looms or working in textile/weaving production.
- Demonstrable experience in loom setup, yarn handling and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Availability to work a rotating three-shift schedule.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail; ability to follow production specifications and quality procedures.
