Loro Piana seeks a Visual Merchandising Intern in Milan to support store displays, windows and VM training. Internship based in Milano Montenapoleone.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and implement store zoning and merchandise rotations in coordination with store management and central VM team.
- Lead window installations and on‑floor event set‑ups to ensure visual cohesion and brand standards.
- Monitor product launches and category presentation, adjusting displays to optimise sell‑through and client experience.
- Provide qualitative visual feedback after each rotation to the Visual Merchandising Manager and central teams.
- Champion the brand image in store, ensuring consistency across lighting, furniture and ancillary visual elements.
- Coach, guide and develop in‑store VM colleagues; train sales teams on VM standards and maintenance routines.
- Perform competitor visits and report best practices to inform local merchandising decisions.
- Engage store management to leverage visual merchandising as a strategic sales driver and to ensure timely product replacement.
Qualifications
- Degree in visual merchandising, fashion, retail design or a related discipline (mandatory).
- Demonstrable passion for visual merchandising and luxury goods.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to train and influence store teams.
- Good knowledge of the local market and competitor landscape.
- Capacity to prioritise effectively and perform under pressure.
- Availability to work weekends, early mornings and occasional overnight shifts.
- Proficiency in Italian and English.
