Loro Piana — Ghemme, Italy: Textile Wash Technician to manage industrial washing and drying processes and ensure finished‑product quality.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the department Technical Referent to optimise washing and drying processes and propose procedural and technical improvements.
- Co‑define and prepare washing and drying recipes and production cycles from prototyping through to serial production for Ghemme and Mede sites.
- Support area managers on technical production matters, including machine operation, loading/unloading and management of non‑conformities and defects.
- Provide training and mentorship to operators involved in washing and drying processes to raise operational competence.
- Perform manual operational tasks such as loading/unloading and operating industrial washing machines to develop in‑depth hands‑on knowledge of department activities.
- Develop and document specialist knowledge of the effects of wetting, finishing and processing products on natural fibres during thermal wash and drying cycles.
- Monitor and assure the quality of processed goods to ensure adherence to internal standards.
- Manage daily activities to meet established timelines and maintain operational efficiency.
- Record and manage departmental data using company IT systems to support traceability and process control.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in textile washing, finishing or related production roles.
- Practical knowledge of the textile sector, preferably including knitwear production.
- Technical or vocational background in chemistry or textile technology is preferred.
- Proven organisational skills with strong time‑management and prioritisation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and to coach less experienced colleagues.
- Familiarity with effects of finishing agents on natural fibres is an advantage.

Experience
At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in textile washing, finishing, or related production environments; prior experience in knitwear or high‑end fabric processing is preferred.
Education
Technical diploma or vocational qualification in textile technology, chemistry, or a related discipline preferred; on‑the‑job training in industrial textile processing acceptable.
