Loro Piana — Milan: Textile Research & Development Intern (6-month on-site internship) supporting men's fabric innovation and supplier sourcing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support trend research and development for men's textiles, identifying new styles, materials and directional proposals for the mill and style office.
- Contribute to the creation of fabric proposals for collections, special projects and off-season initiatives; assist in evaluating fabric quality.
- Collaborate with the fabrics coordinator to source and propose alternative materials that meet the aesthetic and technical needs of new collections.
- Identify, contact and manage relationships with new fabric suppliers; participate in style-office briefings offering creative alternatives.
- Help establish and maintain a creative laboratory for out-of-season textile experimentation.
Qualifications
- Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Materials Science (fashion-related) or a closely related field.
- Professional working proficiency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign); prior exposure to PLM and AS400 is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving aptitude, precision and flexibility; effective team-working skills.
- Demonstrable passion for textiles, materials research and contemporary menswear.

Entry-level — suitable for recent graduates or candidates with limited professional experience; academic projects, internships or initial industry exposure in textile or fashion design are valued.
