Role & Responsibilities

  • Operate automated textile finishing machinery to apply chemical and mechanical treatments that optimise colour, hand and final appearance of fabrics.
  • Set up machines, load and unload batches, monitor process parameters and make real-time adjustments to maintain product specifications.
  • Perform first-line maintenance and basic troubleshooting on finishing machines and related equipment; liaise with maintenance teams for complex repairs.
  • Carry out in-line and final quality inspections focused on colour consistency, surface finish and tactile properties; document non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate production and batch records, ensuring traceability and compliance with safety and environmental procedures.
  • Work rotational three-shift schedules and report operational matters to the shift supervisor and department manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' proven experience in textile finishing, dyehouse operations or related production roles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical secondary school (textile/industrial) preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience operating automated finishing machines and performing basic mechanical maintenance.
  • Solid knowledge of textile finishing processes, dyeing fundamentals and quality-control methods.
  • Availability to work on a three-shift rotating schedule; meticulous attention to detail and adherence to H&S and environmental protocols.
