The Tailor alters and repairs garments to meet customer specifications and Loro Piana’s high quality standards, using tailoring equipment and techniques and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and industry requirements. This is a full-time, permanent position governed by the Textile, Clothing and Fashion National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) and the applicable company-level agreement. Initial gross annual pay is EUR 40,000, subject to variation based on experience, skills, seniority, and organizational needs; the role also includes discretionary incentive-plan participation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Alter garments to improve fit, style, or functionality in response to customer requests.
- Repair damaged garments, including mending, patching, and replacing zippers, buttons, and other components.
- Use sewing machines, ironing equipment, and other tailoring tools.
- Maintain high quality standards throughout the alteration process.
- Join customer meetings with the customization team when necessary.
- Ensure all products comply with relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of previous experience in the role.
- Knowledge of garment production processes, including tailoring techniques, hand and machine sewing, washing, and ironing.
- Precision, attention to detail, and excellent manual dexterity.
- Excellent command of English.
